It started snowing on that first night, and pretty much didn't let up until the next night. It dropped 8 inches in the city, and at least 10 out in the suburbs where the De/Vision show was. It was beautiful and amazing and made travel very difficult. The sidewalks were not always taken care of, and even when they were, the gutters were still full of huge puddles of nasty slush, making each intersection into an urban obstacle course.

We managed to have fun anyhow. :)

So that was my weekend in Chicago! I hope you enjoyed this walk through the city without having to get your feet wet or your nose cold. I trust you will, regardless, share my nightmares about giant yellow Lego spiders and even gianter American Gothic people.

Next Trip: Jamaica! For a whole week! Leaving in 25 days!!

Got in last night and checked into the hotel, and found out that an old AOL friend of mine from ABQ has a roomie who works in this hotel, and she hooked me up with a suite upgrade :D

We went to the bar and had a couple of cocktails and waited for our Giordano's delivery. Then we went walking in the snow. It was cold and slippery and beautiful.

Today we're going to walk down to Navy Pier and wander around some more. So excited!
